Fidelity Assembly, International Order of the Rainbow for Girls
Rainbow is a faith based service-oriented organization that teaches girls three basic virtues: Faith in a Supreme Being and other people, having Hope in all that they do and Charity toward others.
Rainbow teaches girls confidence, poise, responsibility, and all those virtues of Womanhood you want your daughter to learn. We have a strict dress code of modest and appropriate attire for all events.
Rainbow Pledge serves girls of good character ages 7 through 10.
Rainbow serves girls of good character ages 11 through 20.
Membership at both levels requires that a girl profess her belief in a Supreme Being.
Rainbow is not a religion, and does not espouse any religion, but encourages each girl to be active in her own church.
To join Rainbow Pledge: 7 to 10 years old.
A girl needs to be of good character and fill out a petition.
A Rainbow Pledge promises to follow the values of the Order, her church and her family, and that she will try to join Rainbow when she turns 11 years old.
Come to the meeting and meet the girls, and you will go through a Welcome Ceremony and be installed into an office. Every girl in Rainbow Pledge holds an office in the Pledge Group.
When a Pledge turns 11 years old and has completed her petition for Rainbow, the Pledge Group will do a Majority Ceremony for her and prepare her for her Rainbow Initiation.
To join the International Order of Rainbow for Girls: 11 to 20 years old
A girl must be a daughter, granddaughter, or niece of a Master Mason, OR the friend of a Rainbow Girl and be sponsored by a Master Mason or member of The Order of the Eastern Star, White Shrine of Jerusalem, or Amaranth, or a Majority Member of Rainbow.
Ask for a petition
Complete the petition, and give it to the Mother Advisor with the initation fee and first years dues of $23.
Your petition will be read in the Assembly and a committee appointed to meet with you and your parents.
The committee will report, and the Assembly will ballot on your petition, and you will be notified of your intitiation date.
Your initation is a formal event, where you will receive the lessons that guide the lives of every Rainbow girl. It is a very important event in the life of a Rainbow girl, and all Rainbow Girls remember their Rainbow Birthday.
Please see the PowerPoint presentation below about South Carolina Rainbow Girls.
